Jesus never preached an easy gospel, and He did not preach it because the gospel that truly saves requires total obedience to all the commandments of the Father and the Son, without exceptions, adaptations, or shortcuts. What is preached today in churches is a convenient, light, and non-committal gospel, but also powerless to save. The blood of the Lamb does not cover the rebellious, but rather those who sincerely and diligently seek to obey all of God’s laws. The apostles and disciples who walked daily with Christ lived this way: in faithfulness, reverence, and obedience. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “Ah! My people! Those who guide you mislead you and destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)
