In some churches they are teaching that we should abandon various laws of God because the early church supposedly did so after Jesus returned to the Father. How can anyone accept this argument? At what point did God instruct His people to copy the rebellion of ordinary men? The Most High gave us the Messiah as a model, not the wayward as a reference. And Jesus, along with the apostles and disciples who learned directly from Him, obeyed every commandment revealed in the Old Testament, without exception. We do not follow rebels; we follow Christ. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | “Whoever says, ‘I know him,’ but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:2-5
