The claim that it is impossible to obey all of God’s laws is a lie. Most of the time, this phrase comes from individuals who refuse to obey, but do not admit that the real reason is love for the present world. However, they cannot deceive God, who searches hearts. Whoever knows the laws that God gave us through the prophets of the Old Testament, and still ignores them, is in open rebellion against the Lord and should expect nothing from Him. However, when this person awakens to their desperate situation and begins to obey God’s laws, they gain access to the Almighty, who will guide them and send them to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. | “You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
The true plan of salvation, created by God and not by men, is simple, holy, and easy to understand and follow: seek to be faithful to the laws of the Father given to His prophets, and He will send you to the Son for the forgiveness of sins. All the apostles and disciples knew they should continue to be faithful to the Father’s laws to follow the Son and be saved. The idea that they could ignore God’s laws because the Messiah had come never crossed their minds. This absurdity is what has been taught to Gentiles for centuries, and no one cares that there is not a single word from Jesus in the Gospels supporting such teaching. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. The end has already come! Obey while you are alive. | “Blessed are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and obey it.” (Luke 11:28)
The sacrifice of the Lamb of God for sins and the obligation of God’s children to seek to faithfully obey His holy and eternal Law was never a matter of one eliminating the other. Long before the cross, the Israel of God followed His laws and benefited from the sacrificial system for the forgiveness of sins. This divine process did not change with the cross. The Father did not send His only begotten Son to save rebels who consciously ignore His Law, but to save the faithful who wholeheartedly seek to obey all the commandments given to Israel, the nation God set apart for Himself with the eternal covenant of circumcision. This plan of salvation makes sense because it is the true one. | “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and do it.” (Luke 8:21)
We may not know much about the devil, but Jesus taught us that he is the father of lies. We also know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Any teaching that is not in total alignment with the words of Jesus, who is the truth, is a sign that it comes from the devil, whose language is lies. Millions in churches live in open disobedience to God’s laws given to the prophets in the Old Testament, based on the doctrine of “unmerited favor,” something Jesus never taught, and which, therefore, comes from the enemy. What Jesus taught is that no one comes to the Son unless the Father sends them, but the Father does not send declared disobedient people to Jesus; He sends those who seek to follow His laws, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. | “That is why I said to you that no one can come to me unless it is granted by the Father.” (John 6:65)
In His encounters with the rabbis, Jesus was clear in stating that much of what they taught was not what God had instructed Israel through the prophets of the Old Testament. They had created their own doctrines and traditions and, in addition to the Scriptures, declared other writings as sacred. The true Israel, set apart by God as His people, is composed of Jews and Gentiles who remain firm in the covenant with Abraham, sealed by circumcision. It was for this Israel that the Father sent His Son as a sacrifice for sins. Any Gentile can join the Israel of God, be sent to Jesus by the Father, and attain salvation, but to do so, they must follow the laws God gave to Israel, the same laws that Jesus and His apostles obeyed. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who holds firmly to My covenant, I will also bring to My holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
All who will be saved are part of the chosen people , the Israel of God. Some were born from Abraham’s lineage, while others, like us, came from other nations, but all are integrated into the same holy people. There are not two plans of salvation, one for Jews and another for Gentiles; there is only one, established by the Father from the beginning. We Gentiles join Israel when we decide to follow the same commandments God gave to His people in the Old Testament. The Father sees our faithfulness and courage, even in the face of opposition; He pours out His blessings on us, unites us with Israel, and sends us to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense, because it is the true one. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who holds firmly to My covenant, I will also bring to My holy mountain. No one is saved by the Law. Never was and never will be. We are saved because the Lamb of God paid with His Blood for our sins. However, the Blood does not purify all humanity; if that were the case, everyone would be saved. Whether in the tabernacle, the temple, or the cross, only those who please the Father are sent to the Son for forgiveness and salvation, and the Father only delights in the Jew or Gentile who seeks to follow His powerful and eternal Law. The disciples, who learned directly from Christ, understood this dynamic and, for this reason, kept the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. The soul that desires to please God and ascend with Jesus must have this phrase as a principle of life: “I may not understand everything in the Scriptures, but I know that my Creator gave me laws to obey, and with all my strength, I will seek to follow them faithfully. May God do with me as He wills, but His laws I will obey.” This was the spirit of Job, who said: ”Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” God never abandons this kind of person; He gently leads them to still waters and sends them to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. A Christian cannot be light or salt to the world while living in disobedience. Light does not come from rebellion, and salt does not preserve without aligning with the Creator. Millions of people who claim to be followers of Jesus openly ignore the commandments of the Father of Jesus, believing that attending churches replaces faithfulness. However, all the apostles and disciples of Jesus obeyed God’s laws. Those who reject the commandments may even speak of Jesus, but do not reflect His light nor carry His salt. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)
The only way to ensure a healthy, blessed spiritual life, full of protection and peace, with the certainty of ascending with Jesus, is to obey fully the laws of God revealed in the Old Testament and the words of Jesus in the Gospels. The person who lives this way continually experiences the hand of God guiding, protecting, and blessing their life. This is not difficult. There may be challenges at first, but when God sees that the person’s decision is sincere and permanent, He straightens the crooked paths until the difficulties disappear. Salvation is individual.
