If the doctrine of “unmerited favor” came from God, Jesus would have taught us all about it, for He taught everything the Father commanded Him. He would have said that it is enough to believe to be saved, without the need to obey His Father’s laws, as this doctrine teaches. The warnings in the Sermon on the Mount would make no sense, such as the warning that simply looking with desire is adultery, or that hating someone is like killing; that we must forgive to be forgiven, and many others. The truth, however, is that Jesus did not teach this doctrine, nor did He delegate anyone to teach it after Him. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. All the promises of Jesus in the gospels were directed to the chosen people , those who already obeyed the laws that God gave to the prophets in the Old Testament. Jesus never promised anything to the disobedient. No gentile will be accepted as part of God’s people if he rejects any of the Lord’s commandments, no matter how much leaders try to convince him otherwise. The Father does not change, His laws do not change, and the path to eternal life remains the same: to faithfully obey everything He has commanded. The Father sees obedience, joins the faithful to Israel, and sends him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. The voice of the serpent always seems “reasonable,” because it presents itself as an angel of light, with ”balance” and ”common sense.” But the focus has always been the same since Eden: to draw man away from obedience to the living God. That is why so many people inside churches blindly follow their leaders and accept what Christ never preached in the four gospels. What the churches have taught came from men inspired by the devil, years after the Savior returned to the Father. Jew or gentile, the true follower of Christ lives as His disciples lived and obeys the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, the use of tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Many Christians place their hope in the approval of men: they follow friends, follow the environment, follow what “everyone teaches” and call it faith. However, the Word reveals that, from the beginning, God set apart an obedient people and never accepted rebellion disguised as faith. The majority have always rejected the laws that the Lord gave through the prophets and which the Messiah never annulled, but taught and honored with perfect obedience. All the apostles obeyed the Law. Do not be deceived by crowds; fear God and obey all the commandments. Salvation is individual , do not follow the majority; obey while you are alive. | “Here is the perseverance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith in Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)
The reason why so many prayers do not receive a positive answer from God is that most people in the church are not part of God’s people and, therefore, ask as outsiders. Listening to sermons and singing about God and Jesus does not make someone part of His people. God’s people are Israel, whom He set apart with an eternal covenant after approving Abraham. Any gentile can join Israel and be blessed by God, as long as they follow the same laws that the Lord gave to Israel. The Father sees the faith and courage of this gentile, despite the difficulties. He pours out His love upon him, joins him to Israel, and leads him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense because it is true. | The gentile who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who remains firm in My covenant, I will also bring to My holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
Since Eden, God has established a clear and continuous process to rescue souls from eternal death. The sacrifice was never offered to the rebellious, but to those who truly desire to please the Creator. It is the Father who decides who will be saved, and He sends these souls to the Lamb, Jesus, so that they may be purified by His blood. From the beginning, the criterion remains the same: to seek, with faithfulness and perseverance, to fulfill, without exception, the commandments that He revealed to the prophets of the Old Testament. Only these are recognized by the Father and sent to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. The plan never changed. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
All of us, gentiles, wish to be guided by God in every decision of life. We want wisdom to choose the right path, we want peace, we want to be happy, and, in the end, we want to ascend with Jesus. These desires are legitimate and possible, but only become reality when we live in obedience to the laws that God gave to His prophets in the Old Testament. That is how the apostles and disciples lived when they walked with Christ: obeying the Father in everything. God does not guide the disobedient, nor bless those who ignore His orders. Only those who faithfully follow His commandments are guided, protected, and, in the end, sent to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. | “What does the Lord require of you, but to fear the Lord, to walk in all His ways and to obey His commandments for your own good?” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)
The great weapon of Satan is false peace. It is when man sins, disobeying the powerful Law of God, and apparently nothing bad happens, that he is encouraged to continue in rebellion. This is the enemy’s most dangerous deception. It is in this spirit that so many Christians live in open disobedience to the laws that God gave us in the Old Testament, assuming that everything is fine simply because they are still alive and things seem to go on as normal. But this sense of security is illusory, it is the peace of the serpent, not the peace of God. Wake up while there is still time. Salvation is individual. A remarkable event that occurred after Jesus’ return to the Father was the conversion and baptism of the Ethiopian eunuch. Instructed by an angel of the Lord, Philip was taken to this man and, in the encounter, had the opportunity to preach the message of salvation to an important gentile. If the doctrine of “unmerited favor” came from God, Philip would certainly have given all the details so that the gentile could take this teaching to his land. However, the biblical account states that the study was limited to demonstrating, in the Old Testament, that Jesus was the Messiah of Israel. Nothing was said about ”unmerited favor,” because Jesus never taught that there is salvation without obedience to the laws that the Father gave us in the Old Testament. The teaching that obedience to God brings rewards, but has nothing to do with salvation, is a fairy tale invented by the devil to keep souls on the path to the lake of fire. This is one of the most subtle and destructive lies ever created, a false security for the disobedient. Neither the Lord’s prophets in the Old Testament nor Jesus in the four gospels taught fairy tales. Both proclaimed the same truth: obedience to the Law is the path of life, and disobedience, the path of death. Only the soul that seeks, with reverence and perseverance, to follow all the commandments of the Father and the Son will ascend. Salvation is individual.
