The fool, who lives provoking God, says he only needs to follow two commandments, as if he truly loved the Lord above all and his neighbor as himself. But whoever says this shows that he does not even understand what he is saying. The scribe’s question to Jesus was not how many commandments to follow, but which was the greatest, and the Master cited not the greatest, but the two greatest, without annulling the others. To love God is to obey everything He has commanded. Whoever truly desires to inherit eternal life is willing to keep all the commandments God gave us in the Old Testament, exactly as the apostles and disciples did. For a long time, the church has tried to convince the gentile that there is a new plan of salvation, disconnected from Israel and from the laws that God revealed through the prophets. But this never came from the lips of Jesus. The Scriptures do not announce a second plan, nor foresee a man who would come after the Messiah, inside or outside the Bible, to create doctrines that promise eternal life to the disobedient. The standard has remained the same since Eden: the sinner is purified by the Blood of the Lamb when he repents and begins to seek, with perseverance, all of God’s Law. This is how all the apostles lived, and this is how we must live. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are alive. | The gentile who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who remains firm in My covenant, I will also bring to My holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
The idea that, at the final judgment, God will not take seriously His constant warnings about the eternal condemnation of the disobedient is one of the greatest lies ever created by the devil. It is blasphemy to insinuate that the Most High’s warnings can be ignored. Most leaders repeat this heresy as if it were true, deceiving millions of souls. Jesus was clear: it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the smallest letter of the Law to fall. All the apostles and disciples lived aware of this, remaining faithful to every commandment revealed by God in the Old Testament. The Father does not change, and His laws are eternal. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
John the Baptist was the only messenger of God prophesied in the Old Testament and confirmed by Jesus. Besides John, there are no prophecies, neither from the Lord’s prophets nor in the words of Jesus in the gospels, about the sending of another man, inside or outside the Bible, whose teachings we should follow. The gentile who consciously ignores God’s eternal laws based on what he read or heard from some man who appeared after Jesus returned to the Father is relying on human teachings. Our only guarantee against the serpent’s deceptions is to faithfully follow the laws God gave us through the prophets and His beloved Son. Any other source of doctrine is subject to human interference. | “Do not add to or take away anything from the commandments I give you. Simply obey the commandments of the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)
Many gentiles in churches know the laws of God revealed in the Old Testament, but even so do not obey them. They feel safe ignoring the commandments because they have accepted the false doctrine of “unmerited favor.” With this false hope, they conclude that obedience is optional, something extra, since, for them, salvation is assured whether they obey or not. The truth, however, is that at the final judgment they will have a bitter surprise, for this idea is not taught by Jesus in the Gospels. We are saved by pleasing the Father and being sent to the Son, and the Father is pleased with the gentile who follows the same laws given to the nation set apart for His honor and glory. | “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and do it.” (Luke 8:21)
Jesus never said, not even remotely, that to be saved we need to reject His Father’s Law. However, that is exactly what many leaders teach, directly or indirectly. They repeat this blasphemy that has been taught in seminaries continuously for generations, forming a chain of deception that began with men who appeared years after Christ’s ascension. This lie has led millions of souls away from the obedience that Jesus Himself lived and taught. The apostles and disciples, who learned the truth directly from the Master’s lips, faithfully obeyed all the laws God gave us in the Old Testament. In the days of Jesus, there was already a single valid plan of salvation for both Jews and gentiles, and that plan remains the same to this day. There has never been a different way for gentiles to obtain forgiveness and salvation. Salvation has always been, and still is, through Israel, the only nation chosen by God and confirmed with the eternal covenant of circumcision. The gentile who wishes to be saved by Christ must follow the same laws that the Father gave to Israel. The Father observes the faith and courage of this gentile, despite the many challenges. He pours out His love on him, unites him to Israel, and leads him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. The serpent does not need much strength to convince people to disobey God. It simply offers something that pleases the human heart, even if it is clearly false. It was so in Eden and has been so in many churches. Millions accept the false doctrine of “unmerited favor” because it offers heaven without obedience to the Father, something Jesus never taught in the four gospels. What Christ did was train His apostles in the way of life that leads to salvation, both for Jews and for gentiles. Like them, we must keep the commandment of the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual; obey while you are alive. | “The assembly shall have the same laws, which will apply both to you and to the gentile who lives among you; this is a perpetual decree.” (Numbers 15:15)
Most sermons in churches ignore obedience to the powerful Law of God, as if it were a secondary topic. However, faithful obedience is the heart of all Scripture and the foundation of the plan of salvation. Humanity turned away from God through disobedience, and only through sincere and complete obedience can we return to Him. The blood of the Lamb does not purify rebels, but those who strive to fulfill, without exception, all the commandments the Lord revealed in the Old Testament and through Jesus in the Gospels. All the apostles and disciples were faithful to God’s laws, and so must we be. If we live continually in a spirit of faith, humility, and obedience to everything the Father has commanded, there will be few times when we need to cry out for God’s intervention, because those who live this way naturally remain under the constant protection of the Most High. God daily guards His faithful children, because obedience keeps the soul aligned with His will. When we seek, without exception, to fulfill each of His powerful commandments revealed by the prophets and by Jesus, we avoid many evils before they even arise. Protection does not come from desperation, but from continuous faithfulness. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you… The Most High is your dwelling place. (Psalm 91:7,9)
