The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Without sanctification no one will see the Lord”…

“Without sanctification no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

What does it truly mean to pray for sanctification? Often, we throw this word around as if it were something light, something easy, but the truth is that sanctification comes at a high cost, and we must be ready to pay it. When you pray to be sanctified, you are asking God to set you apart, to take you out of the world and place you in a position where your personal interests, your plans, and even your earthly pleasures diminish drastically. In return, God expands the space He occupies in your life, until everything in you — body, soul, and spirit — is completely turned towards Him. So, before making this prayer, ask yourself: “Am I truly ready to let God do this work in me?”

And what does sanctification really require? Do not be deceived: sanctification is not something that happens by magic or merely because you wish it. It requires an intense focus on God’s perspective, and this means that every area of your life must be surrendered to Him. It is as if God puts chains on everything you are — your thoughts, your desires, your actions — and says: “This is now Mine, and it will only be used for My purpose.” And here is the detail that many try to ignore: there is no sanctification without obedience to the Word of God. You cannot skip this part! God has already revealed in the Scriptures what He expects from us, and following these instructions is the path to being set apart for Him. Sanctification is a serious process, and God does not play with it.

And do you know what the result of living this way, of paying the price of sanctification, is? Intimacy with God. When you obey the Law of God, you are not just following rules; you are becoming a faithful child, someone who walks so close to the Father that they experience blessings, deliverances, and, ultimately, the promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus. Do not be deceived into thinking you can have sanctification without obedience — that is an illusion. Obeying what God has already revealed is the key to living a separated life, a life that pleases God and receives all that He has to give. -Adapted from O. Chambers. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that I often find myself asking for sanctification as if it were something simple, without reflecting on the real cost of being set apart for You, of being taken out of the world and placed where my plans, desires, and earthly pleasures diminish. Today, I acknowledge that this prayer is not light, and in asking for it, I give You permission to expand Your space in my life, until everything in me — body, soul, and spirit — is turned towards You. Help me, Lord, to embrace this process with seriousness and not to flee from Your call to a holy life.

My Father, today I ask You to place Your chains of love over every area of my life — my thoughts, desires, actions — and declare: “This is now Mine, and it will be used for My purpose.” Teach me to focus on Your perspective, surrendering all that I am to You. I ask for strength to obey Your Word, for I know there is no sanctification without obedience, and the path to being set apart for You is in the Scriptures. Guide me, correct me, and transform me, so that I may live a life that pleases You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for calling me to a deep intimacy with You, for giving me the chance to be a faithful child, experiencing Your blessings, deliverances, and the promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the beacon that lights my steps, a river of justice that purifies my heart. Your commandments are stars that guide my journey, a song of love in my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Abraham was called a friend of God” (James 2:23)….

“Abraham was called a friend of God” (James 2:23).

To be called a “friend of God”? Look at the life of this man and perceive an undeniable truth: Abraham did not achieve this title by chance or mere goodwill. He grew in faith, yes, but this faith was tested and shaped through absolute trust in God. Do not be deceived: God does not accept shortcuts. He does not expect you to skip steps or reach the top overnight, but He requires you to walk step by step on the path He has laid out. There is no other way to grow in faith than by fully trusting in the Lord and His perfect purpose.

Now, stop and reflect on the challenges Abraham faced. He did not become the “Father of Faith” because of nice feelings or empty promises. He was tested to the limit, and the ultimate test came when God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love.” Climbing Mount Moriah was not an emotional choice; it was an act of unwavering faith. Even with a broken heart, Abraham moved forward because he knew that pleasing God requires more than words—it requires total obedience to His will. Do not be deceived: the most precious jewels are precisely cut, and the purest gold is tested in the most intense fire. God uses trials to reveal who is truly willing to trust Him, without hesitation or excuses.

True faith requires action, period. There is no room for bargaining or justifications when it comes to following God. Abraham did not negotiate, did not question, did not try to adapt God’s plans to his own understanding. He trusted and obeyed because he knew that obedience to the Law of God is the only path to real intimacy with the Creator. Do you want to be a friend of God? Do you want a faith that withstands any test? Then, obey the Lord’s commandments, without wavering, without compromise. Take the Word of God and live every ordinance, every instruction, with absolute determination. There is no other option for those who wish to walk with God. -Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that being called Your friend is not a title given by chance, but something earned through faith and obedience. I know that Abraham was not recognized as Your friend merely by words, but because he trusted You without reservation and followed every instruction You gave him. I want to learn from him and grow in faith, walking step by step on the path You have laid out for me, without shortcuts, without excuses, just fully trusting in Your will.

My Father, today I ask You to strengthen me to face trials without wavering. I know that true faith is not theoretical but practical, and that pure gold is only revealed through fire. I do not want to be someone who merely talks about faith, but someone who acts with total obedience, even when the challenges are great. Give me a resolute heart, capable of saying “yes” to You in all circumstances, without trying to adapt Your will to my own understanding.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You choose to walk with those who obey You. I know that there is no friendship with You without total submission to Your Law, and therefore, I want to live every commandment of Yours with zeal and determination. Thank You because You guide me on the path of faith and because Your presence is the greatest treasure I can have. May my life reflect this true friendship, based not only on words, but on unwavering obedience. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a dear mother, who always feeds me with strength and faith. I love Your commandments, for they are the manna that sustains my hungry heart. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Then the ugly and thin cows ate the seven…

“Then the ugly and thin cows ate the seven beautiful and fat cows… The shriveled ears swallowed the seven plump and full ears. Then Pharaoh awoke; it was a dream” (Genesis 41:4, 7).

This dream of Pharaoh brings a powerful warning to all of us: the best years of our lives, the greatest spiritual experiences, and the most glorious victories can be swallowed up by periods of disobedience and distance from God. Many started well, had great spiritual achievements, were powerful instruments in the hands of the Lord, but allowed negligence and lack of vigilance to lead everything to ruin. There is nothing sadder than seeing a servant of God, who has experienced the glory of obedience and divine blessings, overcome by spiritual coldness and uselessness in the Kingdom.

But this tragedy can and must be avoided. The only guarantee of safety against this spiritual decline is renewed and continuous contact with God. It is not enough to have a past of fidelity; it is necessary to live in obedience every day. Only he who maintains a constant relationship with the Father through obedience to His powerful Law will remain steadfast and will not be devoured by the time of spiritual drought. The thin cows and the shriveled ears will have no place in the life of one who remains faithful to the Lord, for God sustains and strengthens those who walk according to His will.

If we want to avoid spiritual failure, we must choose today and every day to obey. We cannot rely on past experiences, but on a constant and renewed commitment to God and His Word. Only in this way will we remain fruitful and full, continually growing in the presence of the Father and the Son. -Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that the best moments of my spiritual life can be lost if I do not remain vigilant in Your presence. I know that it is not enough to have a past of fidelity; I need to renew my commitment to You daily so that my faith does not weaken. Teach me to live in constant obedience to Your holy Law, so that the years of drought and distance never have power over me.

My Father, today I ask You to guard my heart from spiritual negligence. I do not want to be overcome by coldness, nor allow disobedience to destroy the blessings I have already received from You. Give me a vigilant spirit and a burning desire to seek You continually. May my faith not rest on past experiences, but on a living and growing relationship with You, founded on obedience and love for Your will.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You sustain those who choose to walk according to Your ways. Thank You because in You I find strength to persevere and continue to bear fruit. May my life always be marked by fidelity and constancy in Your Word, so that no time of drought can separate me from You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law never leaves me confused. Your commandments are the gentle melody that calms the storms of my being. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision” (1…

“And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision” (1 Samuel 3:15).

God often speaks to us in subtle ways, and if we are not attentive, we may become confused and question whether we are truly hearing His voice. Isaiah mentioned that the Lord spoke to him “with a strong hand,” suggesting that, often, God guides us through the pressure of circumstances. Instead of resisting or becoming distracted, we should develop the habit of saying: “Speak, Lord.” When difficulties arise and life seems to push us in a certain direction, we must stop and listen. God always speaks, but are we willing to listen?

The story of Samuel clearly illustrates this principle. When God spoke to him, Samuel faced a dilemma: should he tell the prophet Eli what he had received from the Lord? This situation reveals an essential test of obedience. Often, God’s call to us may displease others, and there is the temptation to hesitate to avoid conflict. However, refusing to obey the Lord out of fear of hurting or displeasing someone creates a barrier between our soul and God. Samuel was honored because his obedience was unquestionable; he did not place his own logic or feelings above the divine voice.

Intimacy with God, clarity of direction, and material and spiritual blessings only come when obedience becomes an automatic response to the Lord’s voice. We do not need to wait for an audible call or an extraordinary sign, for God has already given us clear commands in His Word. It all begins with the commandments He has revealed, and when we respond promptly with “Speak, Lord!”, we show that we are willing to walk in truth and receive all that He has for us. -Adapted from O. Chambers. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that You always speak, but often my attention is scattered and I do not perceive Your voice. I know that You do not always speak in a thunderous manner; often, You use circumstances and situations to guide me. Teach me to have an attentive heart, ready to recognize Your direction, without hesitation or doubt. May my first reaction in any situation always be to say: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.”

My Father, today I ask You to give me the courage to obey without fearing the consequences. Just as Samuel had to face a difficult moment in delivering Your message, I know that often my faithfulness to You may displease others. But I do not want to hesitate or place my own logic above Your will. May my obedience be unquestionable, so that I never create barriers between my soul and Your presence. Help me to choose Your ways above any human opinion.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You have revealed Your will clearly in Your Word. I do not need to wait for extraordinary signs, for You have already given me Your commandments as a guide. Thank You because, by faithfully following Your will, I find intimacy with You, clarity in direction, and all the blessings You have reserved for those who obey You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the sound that echoes peace in my heart. Your commandments are the melody of my life. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “He who is not born of water and the Spirit cannot…

“He who is not born of water and the Spirit cannot enter the Kingdom of God” (John 3:5).

When Jesus speaks of entering the Kingdom of God, He is not referring only to heaven after death, but to the Kingdom coming to earth and the privilege of living it here and now. Many Christians are content with the idea of a future heaven, without realizing that the promise involves a present transformation. Entering the Kingdom means possessing all that God has promised us: His constant presence, His dominion established over our life, and His will being done in us and through us.

Entry into this Kingdom does not occur automatically, nor by mere expectation. It happens through a living and active faith, a faith that is expressed through obedience. God has not called His people to a passive belief, but to an active commitment to His will. He who desires to experience the Kingdom must demonstrate his faith through total submission to the divine will. It is not enough to wait for future blessings; it is necessary to act according to the principles that God has revealed.

The commandments of God carry within them a transformative power. Everyone who chooses to obey finds not only guidance but also spiritual strength and authority. This obedience allows us to enter the Kingdom of God now, experiencing the promises in our present life, and guarantees us entry into eternity. There is no separation between one and the other. He who lives in fidelity to God already begins to enjoy the Kingdom here on earth, with all the blessings it brings, and, in due time, will inherit eternal life. -Adapted from A. Murray. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that Your Kingdom is not just a future promise, but a reality that I can live here and now. I know that entering this Kingdom means allowing Your presence, Your will, and Your dominion to be established in my life. I do not want to be content with just the expectation of heaven, but I desire to experience the fullness of Your presence today, living under Your government and following Your ways with fidelity.

My Father, today I ask You to help me have a living faith, that manifests itself in total obedience to Your will. I know that it is not enough just to believe; it is necessary to act according to the principles You have revealed. I want to demonstrate my faith not only with words, but with my life, choosing to follow Your commandments and live according to Your truth. Give me a submissive heart, ready to walk in Your Kingdom from now on, experiencing Your peace, Your strength, and Your care at every step.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You have called Your children to a life of fidelity and fullness in You. Thank You because, by obeying You, I can already begin to enjoy the promises of Your Kingdom, knowing that my fidelity today will also lead me to eternal life. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is my faithful beacon that illuminates my steps. Your commandments are like the welcoming shade under the tree of peace in the heat of midday. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “The prayer made by a righteous person can do much in its…

“The prayer made by a righteous person can do much in its effects” (James 5:16).

God knows every detail of our lives. He sees our pains, counts our tears, and knows exactly what we face. There is nothing we can hide from Him, for it was God Himself who allowed certain trials to teach us, to strengthen us, and to draw us closer to Him. But, despite knowing everything, He desires that we cry out to Him for deliverance, for prayer is the way He established for us to relate to His grace and mercy.

However, it is not enough to simply ask; the prayer that God answers is the prayer of the righteous—one who seeks to please Him and lives in obedience to His commandments. When we pray with humility and a heart truly determined to obey all that He has already instructed us in the Scriptures, our plea is heard and answered. God does not reject the prayer of His faithful children. He restored His people in the past and continues to restore today those who love Him and demonstrate this love through obedience.

If this is the truth, why not do it now? What prevents you from completely surrendering to the Lord and trusting in Him? Begin to obey the powerful Law of God, and then you will see the hand of the Lord working in your life and in the lives of those you love. There are no barriers for those who stand before God with a submissive heart and a willingness to follow all that He has revealed. The peace you seek and the answers you desire will come in due time—for God never forsakes the righteous. -Adapted from Henry Müller. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that You know every detail of my life. You see my pains, count my tears, and know exactly what I face. I know that nothing is hidden from Your eyes and that every trial has a purpose: to teach me, to strengthen me, and to draw me closer to You.

My Father, today I ask that You teach me to pray with a righteous, sincere, and obedient heart. I do not want to merely ask, but I want to live in such a way that my life is pleasing to You, faithfully following Your commandments. I know that You hear and answer the prayer of those who love You and demonstrate this love through obedience. Give me the humility to recognize Your instructions and the strength to follow them without hesitation, trusting that Your will is perfect.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You never forsake those who seek You with sincerity. Thank You because the peace I seek and the answers I hope for will come in Your time, for You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. May my prayer be accompanied by a life submissive to You, so that I may see Your hand working powerfully in my life and in the lives of those I love. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is my shield and sword against the attacks of the enemy. Your commandments are like the gentle breeze that caresses and soothes my thoughts. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Therefore, I say to you: do not be anxious about…

“Therefore, I say to you: do not be anxious about your life” (Matthew 6:25).

These words of Jesus are not merely advice, but a command to those who truly trust in the Father. Anxiety is like a persistent tide that tries to suffocate everything God places in our hearts. If we do not worry about clothes and food, soon other concerns arise—be they related to money, health, or relationships. The invasion of anxiety is constant, and unless we allow the Spirit of God to lift our minds above these concerns, we will be swept away by this current and lose our peace.

Jesus’ warning applies to the true children of God. He who does not belong to the Lord, who does not love Him and does not obey His commandments, has every reason to live anxiously. But those who have loved God to the point of receiving His instructions and following them with joy have no reason to fear or be troubled. The Father cares for His faithful children, and nothing affects them without His permission. Obedience to the Lord’s commandments not only keeps us aligned with His will but also ensures us a place under His protection.

God desires to guide us closer to Him, to shape us according to His will, and ultimately, to grant us eternal life by His side. He who trusts and obeys the Father need not live anxiously, for he knows that all things are under His control. True peace comes when we surrender our path to the Lord and live confidently that He will provide everything in due time. Anxiety is for those who live far from God; trust is for those who dwell in the shadow that covers the obedient. -Adapted from O. Chambers. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that anxiety tries to suffocate everything You place in my heart, but You have commanded me not to be anxious, for those who trust in You have the assurance of Your care. I know that often my mind clings to the worries of this life, but I do not want to be swept away by this current. Teach me to lift my thoughts above the daily concerns, so that I may fully rest in Your providence and Your faithfulness.

My Father, today I ask You to strengthen my faith, so that I may not live like those who do not know You and do not follow Your ways. I know that Your faithful children have no reason to fear, for they are under Your protection and nothing happens to them without Your permission. May I trust with all my heart that, by living in obedience to Your holy Law, I find security and peace, for You care for every detail of my life.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You are sovereign over all things and never forsake those who obey You. Thank You because the peace that comes from You does not depend on circumstances, but on the certainty that You govern everything with love and justice. May my life be marked by this trust, so that I may live without fear of tomorrow, knowing that my path is secure in Your hands. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the unshakable foundation of my life. There is nothing as wonderful as Your commandments. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

0259 - Post about the Law of God: God

God’s revelations need prior authority and delegation to be valid. We know that Jesus is the Father’s envoy because He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament, but there are no prophecies about the sending of other human beings with new teachings after Christ. Everything we need to know about salvation ends with Jesus. The gentile who is not satisfied with what Jesus taught and seeks comfort in teachings from men who emerged after Christ returned to the Father has already been deceived by the serpent, just like Eve in Eden. No one will ascend without following the Father’s laws in the Old Testament; laws that Jesus and His apostles themselves followed. Only fools follow the majority just because they are many. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to minister to him, and to love the name of the Lord… and holds fast my covenant, I will bring to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7).

A significant event that occurred after Jesus returned to the Father was the conversion and baptism of the Ethiopian eunuch. Instructed by an angel of the Lord, Philip was led to this man and, in the encounter, had the opportunity to preach the message of salvation to an important gentile. If the doctrine of “unmerited favor” came from God, Philip would certainly have given all the details for the gentile to take this teaching to his land. However, the biblical account states that the study was limited to demonstrating, in the Old Testament, that Jesus was the Messiah of Israel. Nothing was said about ”unmerited favor”, because Jesus never taught that there is salvation without obedience to the laws that the Father gave us in the Old Testament. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “Blessed are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and obey it.” Luke 11:28.

0257 - Post about the Law of God: Gentiles who are truly serious about ascending with...

Gentiles who are truly serious about ascending with Jesus must follow the instructions of Jesus’ Father to the letter. This means not obeying partially or adapting. Few gentiles are this serious, and therefore few will ascend. As Jesus said, most do not even find the narrow gate, let alone enter through it. The only way to please the Father and be sent to the Son is to strictly follow the laws that the Lord gave us in the Old Testament. God watches us and, seeing our obedience, even in the face of opposition, He unites us with Israel and delivers us to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. This plan of salvation makes sense because it is true. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 4:2.
