Daily Devotional: “Do not fear, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).

“Do not fear, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).

Satan constantly tries to weaken our faith by using fear as a weapon. He is a master at exploiting the paralyzing power of fear, which stands in direct opposition to faith. Faith is the bridge that connects us to the help of heaven, while fear acts as a barrier, distancing us from trust in God and, consequently, from the blessings He has for us. Job understood this danger and declared with sadness: “What I feared has come upon me” (Job 3:25). Fear is not just an emotion; it is a tool the enemy uses to sow doubt and lead us away from the path of obedience.

Fear originates from the devil, who is the father of lies, and everything he presents to us is based on deception. His threats and fears have no real foundation, for he has no power over those who live in faithfulness to God. His lies, although often frightening, should motivate us even more to stand firm in God’s truth. Since Eden, Satan’s ultimate goal has not only been to scare us, but to lead us into disobedience, drawing us away from God’s perfect plan. He knows that fear can be a doorway to doubt, and doubt leads us to ignore the Lord’s commandments.

Fear, however, is definitively defeated when we choose to obey God. In obedience, we find the constant presence of the Lord, and it is this presence that gives us courage and strength. When we walk in obedience, we are surrounded by divine protection, and where there is protection, fear loses its power. Obeying God’s commandments puts us in direct communion with Him, and this connection is the antidote to fear. In God’s presence, we find not only courage, but the confidence that He is with us in all circumstances, guaranteeing victory over any threat or deception of the enemy. -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that the enemy tries to weaken us by using fear as a weapon to draw us away from Your truth and Your presence. I recognize that fear, coming from the father of lies, is a strategy to lead us into doubt and, consequently, into disobedience.

My Father, today I ask You to strengthen me so that I never give in to the enemy’s lies, but stand firm in Your truth, which is eternal and unchanging. Give me courage to walk in obedience, even in the face of threats or uncertainties, knowing that in You is my protection and strength. Help me to discern the lies of fear and to reject them immediately, remaining faithful to Your perfect plan and trusting that You are always with me, leading me in victory.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because in Your presence there is no room for fear, only for trust and peace. Thank You for Your faithfulness, for Your constant protection, and for giving me the courage needed to face any situation. I know that in Your company I am safe and that obeying Your commandments is the path to a life of communion and strength. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law gives me constant security. Your commandments are like royal banquets for my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
