Whenever we read in the four Gospels that it is necessary to believe in Jesus to be saved, the listeners were Jews who already followed the laws of God given to the prophets of the Old Testament. They were circumcised, kept the Sabbath, wore tzitzits, kept their beards, and did not eat unclean foods. What they lacked was to believe that Jesus was the Messiah sent by the Father. At no time did Jesus teach that, by believing in Him, a person could disobey the holy laws of His Father and still inherit eternal life. This false doctrine was created by men, inspired by the serpent. No gentile will be taken to heaven without seeking to follow the same laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because it is large. The end has already come! Obey while there is life. | “Do not add to or subtract from the commandments I give you. Simply obey the commandments of the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)
