The foolish Gentile, who could easily become part of the Israel of God, as Ruth, Jethro, Uriah, and Rahab did in the past, prefers to follow the path of disobedience. He thinks himself brave and says he will not obey the commandments that the Lord revealed through the prophets in the Old Testament and, even so, believes he will be welcomed in heaven. But this false confidence comes from blind leaders who taught him to despise the Law of the Most High. At the final judgment, this soul will have a bitter surprise upon realizing that he rejected the only path that leads to Jesus: obedience to the God of Israel. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve him, thus becoming his servant… and who holds fast to my covenant, I will also bring to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
