The greatest deception of the Christian is to believe that he will have time later to obey God, when the only opportunity to show faithfulness to the Creator is now, while he breathes. Obedience does not begin at judgment, but in daily life, when a man decides to honor each commandment exactly as it was given by the prophets and reaffirmed by Jesus. The truth is simple and unchanging: no one belongs to the people of God while ignoring His commandments. It was this way in Eden, in the desert, in the days of the prophets, and in the days of Christ. The apostles lived in total faithfulness to the Father’s Law, and all who truly wish to be accepted by Him must follow the same path: obey while you are alive. | Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
