The Christian who looks for excuses not to obey God’s commandments is deceiving himself by thinking he is guided by the Lord. The Holy Spirit does not lead anyone to disobedience, but rather reminds us of what Jesus has already taught. And the Master was clear: He lived and taught total faithfulness to the Law of the Father. The apostles and disciples, who heard Him every day, obeyed every commandment revealed in the Old Testament. So it must be with us as well. Only those who walk the same path of obedience are guided by God. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “I have revealed your name to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me; and they have obeyed your word [Old Testament].” (John 17:6)
