Many Christians continually ignore the powerful and eternal Law of God revealed to the prophets of the Old Testament. In these same books, they read the wonderful promises of protection and blessings that the Lord makes to His people and imagine that they will receive all the good that the Lord promised and, in the end, inherit eternal life. This will not happen. It is obedience that leads to blessings and to the Lamb. Jesus taught obedience to His Father’s commandments to the apostles and disciples and, like them, whether Jews or gentiles, we must keep the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord to inherit eternal life. Salvation is individual; obey while you are alive. | “If only they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, so that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!” (Deuteronomy 5:29)
