God accepted Abel but rejected Cain for offering something different from what the Lord requires. This spirit of “I do it my way” dominates most churches. Leaders and members choose which of the Father’s commandments they will accept, treating God’s powerful and unchanging Law like a restaurant menu. The fact is, whether Jews or Gentiles, we only please God and obtain salvation in Christ if we live as Jesus and His apostles lived, obeying God to the letter: the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, the use of tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. The Blood of the Lamb does not cover rebels. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “You have commanded your precepts, that we should keep them diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
