So that no one would have an excuse at the final judgment, saying “I can’t,” Jesus lived and taught His apostles and disciples to faithfully obey every one of the commandments the Father revealed in the Old Testament. Not a single order from the Father was ignored by Jesus or by those who followed Him. All of them kept the beard as commanded, observed the Sabbath, did not eat unclean meats, were circumcised, wore the tzitzit, and fulfilled all the other commandments. And if the apostles and disciples, simple and flawed men like us, managed to obey God’s powerful Law, we Gentiles can too, we are neither better nor worse than they were. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who holds fast to my covenant, I will also bring him to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
