The Gentile who trusts their salvation in the non-biblical expression “unmerited favor,” which Jesus never used or taught, will have a bitter surprise at the final judgment. If God were really seeking to save those who do not deserve it, then the whole world would go to heaven, because, according to this doctrine, no one deserves it. But as for the righteous, those who seek to be faithful to God’s laws to be saved—people like Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Joseph, Mary, John the Baptist, and the apostles—these would be thrown into the lake of fire. Flee from this heresy! We are saved by pleasing the Father and being sent to the Son.
