“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is dishonest in very little is also dishonest in much” (Luke 16:10).
Nothing is small or insignificant when it comes from the hands of God. Whatever He asks of us, however small it may seem in our eyes, becomes great—because the One who commands is great. We cannot ignore the conscience awakened by the voice of the Lord. When we know that God is calling us to do something, it is not for us to judge its importance, but simply to obey with humility.
That is precisely where obedience to God’s magnificent Law takes on its beauty. Every commandment, every instruction revealed in Scripture, is an opportunity for us to be found faithful. Even what the world despises—the detail, the quiet gesture, the daily act of care—can become a source of blessing when done faithfully. The sublime commandments of our Creator do not depend on our judgment: they have eternal value.
If we choose to obey with courage and joy, the Lord will take care of the rest. He will give us strength for great challenges when He finds us faithful in simple tasks. Pray with me: Heavenly Father, I have often considered small the things You have placed before me. Forgive me for failing to recognize that everything that comes from You is precious. Teach me to hear Your voice and not to despise any task You entrust to me.
Give me a courageous heart, willing to obey You in everything, even in what seems simple or goes unseen by others. Help me learn to value each of Your commandments as a direct instruction from heaven. Do not let me measure Your will by my limited reasoning.
I want to live in constant faithfulness. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is a flame that lights the steps of the righteous, even on the narrowest paths. Your sublime commandments are eternal seeds planted in the fertile soil of obedience. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
