“I will rejoice greatly in Your love, for You saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul” (Psalm 31:7).
God knows every human being completely. Not even the most hidden thought—the one a person avoids facing—is concealed from His eyes. As someone comes to truly know themselves, they begin to see themselves more as God sees them. Then, with humility, they begin to understand the Lord’s purposes for their life.
Every situation—every delay, every unfulfilled desire, every frustrated hope—has a precise reason and its proper place in God’s plan. Nothing happens by chance. Everything is perfectly suited to a person’s spiritual condition, including parts of their inner self they had not known until then. Until this understanding comes, we must trust in the Father’s goodness and accept in faith everything He allows.
This journey of self-knowledge must go hand in hand with obedience to God’s mighty Law and His wonderful commandments. For the more a soul submits to what the Lord commands, the more it aligns with the truth, the more it comes to know itself, and the closer it draws to the Creator. Pray with me: My Lord and God, I praise You because You know me deeply. Nothing in me is hidden from You, not even the thoughts I try to avoid. You search my heart perfectly and lovingly.
Help me truly obey You, even when I do not understand Your ways. Give me humility to accept Your correction, patience to wait for Your timing, and faith to trust that everything You allow is for my good. May each difficulty reveal something about myself that I need to change, and may each step of obedience bring me closer to You.
Oh, most holy God, I adore and praise You because even though You know every part of my being, You never give up on me. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the mirror that reveals my soul and guides me firmly in Your light. Your commandments are like golden keys that unlock the secrets of Your holiness and true freedom.
