“And the people said to Joshua: We will serve the Lord our God and obey him” (Joshua 24:24).

We are like a jury that hears the evidence, analyzes, thinks, but never delivers the verdict. We keep looking in every direction, considering a thousand options, dreaming of possibilities, but never take a stand. And do you know what happens? We live adrift, without direction, without a turning point, without a climax. My friend, life was not meant to be an endless wait for “something” that never arrives. God is calling you to decide, to stop wavering and choose once and for all to live for Him.
Now, let’s talk about what happens when you don’t decide. It’s as if your life becomes an escape, a senseless rush, instead of a powerful and purposeful mission. Have you ever seen a boat without a rudder? It goes wherever the waves take it, never reaching a safe harbor. That is exactly how we live when we do not make a firm decision to follow God. We spend our days hoping that something magical will happen, but the truth is that nothing changes until you change. And here is the secret that can transform everything: the decision to obey God, no matter the cost, is what puts you on solid ground. When you say “yes” to God with all your heart, you are not just making a choice—you are opening the door for the power of heaven to enter your life.
And do you know what happens when you make that decision? You become unshakable. I am not talking about human strength, but about a supernatural power that comes directly from God. When you decide to obey the Lord’s will, without half-measures, without bargaining, you become a truly blessed and protected person by the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ. Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that I often find myself declaring beautiful intentions about serving You, affirming that I will follow Your way, but without ever taking a firm step of commitment. I confess that, many times, I behave like someone who weighs all the options, ponders endless possibilities, and dreams of changes, but never comes to a conclusion. Because of this, my life ends up wandering aimlessly, like a lost ship, without a decisive moment to mark a turning point. Today, I recognize that You are calling me to set aside this hesitation and choose, once and for all, to live fully for You, without further delay.
My Father, today I ask You to give me boldness and determination to make a clear decision to obey You, regardless of the cost. I no longer want my existence to be a directionless search, at the mercy of circumstances, like a boat adrift on the waves. Teach me to surrender my heart completely to You, so that my life may become a purposeful journey, guided by Your power. I ask that Your Spirit strengthen me, place me on solid ground, and make me an instrument of Your plan, bringing the strength of heaven into my reality.
Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for calling me to a firm and unshakable life, full of meaning and guidance, where I can move forward confidently toward the glorious future You have prepared for me. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the rock that supports my steps, a radiant light that guides my soul. Your commandments are sails that propel my boat safely, a melody of strength that echoes within me. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
