“Blessed is the man who fears the Lord and walks in His ways” (Psalm 128:1).
Death did not shake the faith of the prophets, apostles, and disciples. They departed with the same confidence with which they lived, holding firmly to every truth they obeyed while there was still time. When everything falls silent and life comes to an end, true security is knowing that they sought to honor God while it was possible.
This is when we understand the urgency of following God’s magnificent Law and His beautiful commandments. On the deathbed, there is no room for pleasant theories—only for truth that has been lived. The faithful servants knew that, in the face of the enemy’s accusations and the weight of sins, only a life of obedience would lead the Father to send them to the Son, just as in the past the lamb purified the obedient.
Therefore, decide to live in such a way that the Father delights in sending you to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. Walk in faithfulness, follow each commandment with courage, and allow obedience to guide your story. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority—obey while you are alive. Adapted from J.C. Philpot. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.
Pray with me: Beloved Father, I thank You because Your care accompanies us throughout the journey. Teach me to live with a faithful heart, remembering that each choice shows to whom I belong.
My God, strengthen me to remain obedient, even when challenges and accusations arise. I want to be found following every commandment that You have revealed.
Oh, beloved Lord, I thank You for reminding me that obedience opens the way to Your Son. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is a beacon that lights my life. Your commandments are treasures I long to keep. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
