“You will keep in perfect peace those whose purpose is firm, because they trust in You” (Isaiah 26:3).
A truly consecrated soul learns to see God in all things—without exception. Every detail of daily life can be an opportunity for connection with the Father, whether through a simple upward glance or the silent overflowing of the heart. This constant union with God does not require haste or frantic effort. On the contrary, it calls for calm, simplicity, and an inner peace that is unshaken, even when everything around seems to be falling apart. Remaining serene in the face of chaos is one of the marks of mature faith.
And this serenity is born when we cling to the glorious Law of God. The magnificent commandments given to the prophets of the Old Testament and to Jesus lead us to a life of simplicity and trust. They help us let go of excessive desires, worries, and distractions that draw us away from our true refuge. Obeying the extraordinary Law of the Lord is like dwelling in the safe shelter of a Father who cares for every detail—and who desires that we live in full quietness of spirit, anchored in His eternal love.
Do not allow anything to steal your peace. The Father blesses and sends the obedient to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. May the splendid commandments of the Lord sustain your heart with lightness and firmness.
